Jed’s Secret Sauce

A brand identity for a homemade hot sauce, built around one man’s country lifestyle and a label that feels like a perfect summer afternoon.

Objective: Jed is a hot sauce hobbyist who cooks with local ingredients, personal pride, and a genuine belief that the best things come from your own backyard. He needed a brand identity that matched the product: hand-crafted, warm, and rooted in a specific place and way of life. With full creative freedom, my job was to translate his personality and Hazleton, PA, country lifestyle into a visual identity system from the ground up.

Solution: The illustration work was the foundation of everything. I developed custom vector illustrations that built an entire visual world: rolling Pennsylvania hills, a wood-post fence, distinctive hand-crafted lettering, and a flaming strawberry icon that captures exactly what this sauce is. Every panel of the label tells part of the same story. The logo, bottle label, and t-shirt design all pull from the same illustrated universe, giving Jed a brand that feels as hand-crafted as the product itself.
